When I first joined Studio Clim, about two and a half years ago, Clim asked me to work on this rebrand idea, so we immediately jumped into the project and started exploring where it could go.
At first, together with Berta Terrassa Gomar, I worked on translating some of the ideas and graphic material created by Clim into what would eventually become the look of the 3D scenes. I then moved on to animating the scenes, setting up all the animation for the film and, in particular, bringing the first three shots to life.
It wasn’t easy to manage all the elements of this “controlled chaos” — all those bouncy, dynamic pieces moving to the music — and creating the transitions between 3D and 2D was another challenge. We wanted the flow of the film to feel seamless, while also making sure the fantastic work by Edu Altariba on the 2D animation was properly showcased.
Clim’s direction, Berta Terrassa’s help with the shot where we see the Mac opening up, together with her editing and post work across the whole project, and the final fine-tuning of the 3D animation by the amazing Christos Natantos — especially on the final scene — were all fundamental to bringing the film together in the end.
